Inner Peace for Peacemakers:
Finding Your Calm in the Midst of the Chaos
A special 90-minute workshop with Harry Pickens
About the Workshop
Peacemakers and change agents today are navigating unending local, national, and global uncertainty, division, crisis, and change. Grief, despair, anxiety, anger, and sadness are natural responses to the suffering that we witness and work to address each day, but without knowing how to release the emotional intensity of these responses and how to find and sustain a calm center within, we become exhausted and disconnected, enraged and cynical – the exact opposite of the change we wish to see in the world.
Recent research into the psychology and neuroscience of resilience and compassion points the way to a new understanding of how we can consciously and systematically activate the ‘wellbeing’ circuitry in our brain-mind systems while significantly reducing the impact of negative stress.
In this 90-minute workshop, you will learn simple tools and techniques that can help you quickly:
- Reduce and release negative stress and fear
- Reconnect with your calm center within
- Boost your capacity to access positive feelings
- Increase your resilience so that you can better handle whatever comes along with greater ease, strength, and equanimity
You will leave the workshop feeling lighter, calmer, and more capable of co-creating a more compassionate, tolerant, and harmonious world.
